Advice/help needed

Try to remember that SS aren't a court or judge.
They can make suggestions but can't order anything.
Also if they don't make a house visit or see you with your son they haven't made a fair and just assessment.
This means if they do write a report try not to get too stressed by it because it would be based on allegations and not facts.
My partner has had dreadful phone SS assessments which cafcass have contradicted further down the road.
Not suggesting your situation will go down the cafcass route though. Just for an example of SS not

Hi @cw243 , sorry to read what you're going through, this sounds like a very tough situation and it sounds like you and your partner are managing to negotiate this as well as can be, together.

I had a thought, could you look at this from another angle perhaps?

Does your partners son have diagnosed Autism given you've mentioned it as such? If so, does he have an EHCP (Education Health Care Plan) in place from the LA ( Local Authority/ Council)?

If so, you could ask your partner to reach out on her side and request a review of her son to support the play, SS/LA/Edu Psych are usually very supportive of mothers.

This would then give you a report/evidence to take back on your end with your SS or court to show what is going on and had been done which could possibly relieve the situation for you.

Just a thought, hope you get this managed through either way for your familys sake

Hi, yes he has ehcp support with more hours at his current school. He doesnt need to go to a specialist school which shows how it doesnt affect him as bad as many other children. Weve already spoken to them to eich they said hes never shown signs of this kind of behaviour before and nor are they concerned about it. I have resched out to his support eorker before all of thid happened for them to help with play and also to provide me tips on how to effectively communicate with him when hes not doing too good. His school are also aware of the situation and will no doubt keep an eye on things and support where they can.

Thank you for the suggestion
