Would anyone know if writing to your MP can make any difference to the speed of a police investigation? On the basis of suffering caused to the children due to long absence of a parent.

I wrote to my MP about the social services team and the MP contacted social services. Since then I have kept the MP updated. As far as the police it will be due to backlog due to "Covid" for any tech download, small teams of officers vs. case load and frankly they are waiting to see if you slip up.
