So what did Cafcass recommend? Same time as before? I still think I'd appeal the magistrates decision, on the basis it's not in the childrens best interests, they need what they're used to - both parents involved in school life and supporting them, the youngest is only 10 and will struggle with the change and argue that the childrens wishes were expressed wishes, not ascertainable wishes, and these are their Mother's wishes.

You're so right. Sadly you're one of thousands over the years since family court was set up.
It's frustrating, unjust, maddening, unfair, wrong and every other negative word you can think of.
From the courts point of view they've followed procedures and policies and will cover their backs with this if someone complains.
If someone appeals against a judgment a judge in the higher court will then sit in the appeal hearing, if there's permission to appeal.
They're all part of the same club, so to speak. We're just the little people using their system.
Put the court behind you. In time the frustration will fade. Focus on the kids. They're the most important thing.
