The feminist policy inflencers. Why we need to all campaign on this.

Yes I read that piece by Karen Woodall - it's very good. Point 19 is why we say never accuse "parental alienation". And describe the behaviours instead (primarily of the other parent). However Cafcass are wrong to say that because it's already been shown that children don't reject parents even if they are abusive parents. It is pandering to Mothers, not protecting children.

Exactly Ash.
They're basically saying women and children never lie.
Children are forced to lie and on a deep level they may know they're lying and feel bad.
These womens groups also hurt mothers who suffer PA and the ones who genuinely suffer DA.

My biggest concern is the continued pushing children to the front of making decisions on their future. They're told they're in control of making court orders etc. They're too young to know what's wrong and right.

its mind bending tbh. Reads just like a massive new way of basically not taking any responsibilty for anything and not making any effort to take a balanced view in the child's best interest. I fully understand the importance of the job they are supposed to be doing and that there are very real reasons why safeguards need to be in place, but the simplest implication of anything resembling DA in the form of false allegations is now even more of a hurdle to thousands of very loving, very good dads.

I'm thinking of ways to reach out to the people like Karen Woodall, who can offer some guidance on how we can help change the course of action. It's not easy.

Parental Alienation was only just recently recognised within Cafcass.

Now they have done a complete U turn and trying to silence anyone in this situation.

This is definitely one of Starmers weasels allowing this to happen!!

I think the U turn happened a while back. It was officially recognised about 2016/2017. Things were quite good until 2020. During and since the pandemic it's gone completely the other way.

I think what's in that doc is not new and it's been happening for a while. But it's a very clear message to never mention the words "parental alienation". What Cafcass fail to say in that is whether they should look carefully to see if allegations are false.
