School incident / breach

Daughter (12.5) finally said enough. After over a year of their relationship seemingly deteriorating, she refused to go home with mum after-school yesterday.

School supported daughter. Social services and police said they're not forcing her to go with mum due to age. It was very traumatic for our daughter (and pretty stressful for everyone else), and she's adamant not to return to her mum's care "wanting a break" despite it being mum's scheduled time according to the interim order. Daughter has gone to school today, so I'm anticipating another day of ex's solicitors threatening and demanding etc. maybe even turning up again to attempt a collection.

Final hearing is in 5 weeks, do I need to update the court immediately on what's going? Apply to vary the interim order?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Worth doing a subject access on the police for yourself and daughter - Ensure it has been recorded correctly and you may need it further down the line. If the police attended did they tell you if bodycam was recording as I believe you can ask for that also if you think it would help.

Police take upto 28 days to release info so you may need to act quickly - I assume you already have the CAD number from the police or you can obtain that also.

You can also ask the DSL at the school how they have logged yesterday, what have they written and howelse have they notfied. Depending on your school relationship ask to meet with the head and dsl asap.

Best of luck
