Is it through CMS

I suspect if you stop paying and she then claims your the father, that will need to be proven which will likely result in a claim through CMS to formalise

Yes, they will need proof that you are the father. And then they will backdate it to when you stopped paying and claimed you weren't the father and quite rightly so. If you know you are the father, then focus on getting parental rights instead of avoiding your obligations to your children.

Cms in the uk is not backdated, only backdated upon initialising cms.

Once cms applied for , there is little point delaying the process as can be backdated to the start date. You could push back if you believe you are not the father , however a paternity test may be ordered by the court. if you know you're the father there is no point in kicking up a fuss. Just let them organise the paternity test and go from there.
