Inheritance after divorce

i have a question if anyone can answer or share experiences regarding inheritance after divorce.

Current situation is i have not entered into financial agreement yet and hoping it can be done voluntarily, although all correspondence are been sent via solicitor. Now at this juncture i am unsure whether a clean break order will be agreed so for this lets assume not.

Once the divorce is finalized, i have quite a hefty inheritance that will come to me at some point in the future, i know that i am a beneficiary of a trust of which the estate monetary assets will be placed. As i understand my ex can, if i withdraw some money from the trust can claim some if not at least half, however, if the trust can settle bills without the need for a money transfer to myself, can the ex claim? for example, say i purchase something for £3k, could a judge decide well that is £3k you haven't actually spent and saved for yourself so you can share the saving you made in your own bank account with your ex.

It seems solicitors are at a loss with this query so seeking advice or experiences, as reason is the person involved is determined that my ex will not get a penny and has tried to shore up the inheritance as best as possible.

Hi

Others will know more than I but if there's no clean break I think you are at risk.

Is there any way of getting a clean break even if it means giving up more of the available assets?
