DadLad I was referred for ICFA by CC. CC are due to submit a follow up to the S7 based on feedback from the ICFA provider. I proceed as though the ICFA provider is CC, no negative, mother's a good mother blah blah.
Don't let your guard down.
My ICFA was court appointed through Cafcass. There are 2 meetings via Zoom, one before sessions begin ie; what you want to achieve, how you see contact looking etc
The second one is to discuss a parenting plan after the sessions conclude, discuss how contact continues (if your ex agrees to it)
The contact sessions for me are down as 1hr each but this includes the facilitator going out to the carpark to collect our child so really there is only 45 minutes interaction time.
My facilitator was observing and taking notes but also watching the clock until the very last minute then scurried away. I have been proactive and offered multiple solutions but despite my attempts, the communication via email from the facilitator is nonexistent.
I've asked for a written confirmation and I have kept a log of events, ie emails sent, my own observations etc.
And most importantly, I have kept child focused and the interactions have been extremely positive, my ex has caused nothing but problems and obstacles throughout. She clearly didn't achieve anything from the co-parenting course.
