Form E received direct from wife

Hey guys,

My wife and I are in the 20 week period after filing for divorce. I wanted to ask, we both did our form e and she said her solicitor has read over it etc and wanted her to make changes. When we exchanged she emailed me the form e directly, I was wondering should it not come from her solicitor to me?

I am representing myself and I know she has a solicitor as I’ve received a letter from her previous (via email) to ask me to move some money into a joint account and I told her where to go lol. Just confused as thought this comes through sols…

I am thinking i will email her solicitor with the form attached confirming she has checked the form e.

Let us know your thoughts.

Thanks

No, doesn't have to come from Solicitors, can come direct
But worth checking with the solicitor the has reviewed it?

As I don’t want to agree something in an order and later on she says she didn’t have proper legal advice and tries to undo it

Can I ask how you sent the Form E and supporting documents to the court? Presumably, its a huge bundle - did you email the court or were you asked to send a physical copy to your specific court?

Well I only exchanged with my ex during this 20 week sentence we have to wait and can voluntarily exchange. I sent it as a one drive folder she could access. Is this not acceptable for court?

Was a fair few files on there - sure she will look over them again and again and again! Till she convinces herself she is entitled to everything ever lol!

I see. I have a court date for first and we have exchanged forms with each other. My question is how to send it to the court? Mine is over 500 pages long, a massive bundle of statements and everything else. Surely, we should be able to email the court the pdf link to download the file from a cloud storage service provider?

I take it this is a financial hearing? Did you struggle to agree during the 20 week period?

Can see me going that way so would love to know how much time it wastes thereafter trying to get her to be reasonable through the courts or go all the way and let the courts decide
