I got the formal response to my complaint to the county's Children & Family Services today. My complaint in-short was that the social worker assigned to carry out an assessment ignored four emails and three phone calls I made to her. I was trying to be involved in the assessment, as I had vital information.
The waste of space social worker just ignored everything from me. She could have replied if there was a reason to not involve me (not that there was a reason), but no, just plain ignorance. Statutorily, any council has to involve both parents except in extreme circumstances.
The council upheld the complaint and formally apologies. It doesn't fix anything, but it's a nice small win, and something I can use later on when I need to demonstrate the efforts I've made and the doors that have closed in my face inappropriately. The more we use formal channels to correct these people in their sloppiness, the better.
