Cms reductions via private pension despite employer pensions.

Anyone here successfully reduced cms payment through a private pension despite having a employer pension?

I'm not sure either but when I initially discussed with cms they did ask about pension contributions. I think it's fine if not excessive but that is a bit subjective.

tried calling them once 2 years ago, lady on the other end spoke down to me like im a criminal saying you cant pay into a pension for the purposes of lowering your cms payments, i was speechless.. then i just replied im paying 12% ma'am.

All i asked was, is my pensions being included in the cms calc.

Turns out your employer pensions is automatically taken into account, no action is required.

its only when you have a privater pension you need to log a ticket/email/call them, you will need to provide documentation.
