Child Maintenance

Hi all,

My daughter is only a few months shy of her 18th birthday.
She left the school one year ago, which her mother failed to contact child maintenance of this change.
my daughter has started college this month, 11 months after leaving the school.
I have searched online and can't seem to find an answer to this question I have .
Am I still liable to pay child maintenance even when there was a 11 month break in the further education?
Online states that you are liable to pay up to the age of 20 years old if they STAY in further education .

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated

I think the fact she's in education now means you need to pay it. Whether you can get some kind of recompense for the year she wasn't in full time education, I don't know - you'd have to phone CMS and ask them. However, a lot of Dads have this issue when the child turns 18 as you need to be able to prove to CMS that she wasn't in full time education and you can't prove it usually. Only ex would be able to and they often stay schtum.
