CAFCASS Section 7 Report

I unfortunately did not get a home visit. Mine was a pathetic telephone conversation. I was in a contact centre during this period and they wouldn’t come there either.

If you wish to record it that’s your thing. I know I wasn’t permitted to record the telephone call. Although I did try simply because I wanted to remember every single thing that was said instead of it being a ‘well I have evidence that the officer said this and that’

If you have a camera in your home recording. You have a camera in your home…..

Im either going to record the visit or ask the officer to sign my notes about what was discussed. Or email them to the officer as a reference what was discussed so there's a paper trail.

I would have argued in court that the Cafcass officer isn't qualified to make such statements that you were emotionally unstable for showing your emotions.

I appealed. Cafcass was a huge part in destroying a perfectly happy relationship with my boy for two years. How flawed their section 7 was, a huge part of my appeal. I got my son back straight after the appeal.

it's sadly judgement based and not professionally based. Most of them don't even have children and are mostly feminist activists who hate men.

But the good thing is that they can get destroyed in a courtroom by a good barrister.

I still find it shocking that we have to "perform" in front of these people who are extremely judgmental and don't actually have a clue.

We shouldn't have to 'prove' to compete strangers that we are good Fathers. But I suppose it's just playing the system to get the right results. The end game is the focus isn't it.

Cafcass feeds off Womens Aid and there 'motto' is that the mother is always right and can't do no wrong. The father is guilty until proven etc.

The mother has all the power and they abuse it to their advantage. I don't think it takes a professional to see when there is clear evidence of parental alienation.

Cafcass make the most backward recommendations that aren't justifiable or logical. They follow guidance and a policy that is outdated and archaic.

I am seeing more and more cases where the judge goes against Cafcass.
Cafcass are only 'advisors' to the court though..

Unfortunately, we are stuck in this broken system, fighting to a breaking point to be involved in our children's lives.

Just a question, can family members be present during the Cafcass home visit?

Would be good to have someone as a witness if they try to manipulate and misinterpret anything Ive said in the report later on.

When I say feminists I mean the nut jobs you are referring to who actually hate men.

Not many real feminists exist now as the real agenda has disappeared unfortunately.

I don't think they'd like that. If you had a partner and they were present, that would be acceptable - but I don't think anyone else would be really. Not sure. What I did (with SS) was write down notes afterwards recording what was said and what happened.

Sadly there is a positive toxicity that is tripling through society. It saddens me as I’m a massive feminist but feel that once trickle down into the hands of the working class and that includes me things are just perverse and misunderstood. Why is somebody debating with me in a local pub about feminism when they are on exactly the same wages as the guy say next to me or even more! I absolutely get feminism I am one of them and I support equality through and through. However, the the fuck happened when in my situation?! No equality there and I dare not say the family court is not equal towards the man. I could have my balls chopped off! What a shit show! I was taking to a very good friend who is a professor/researcher for Essex university and he knows all about my situation. He sympathised of course not when went on to say be careful of right wing dads rights and said my situation “isn’t the normal situation”. I understand the variables, I understand I am fortunate in the sense of affordability and all the others things. However, this is an academic I felt he really misunderstood the situation. Right wing groups!!!! He was all about feminist rights and he absolutely felt like women are victims and men are the aggressors. Yes plenty of men are dickheads 100%. Sadly as much as he is a very good friend this to me shows that academic researchers are bias! Not part of the real world. Trapped on a bias narrative. Let’s be lefty for the sake of it! This is a a good example of what we are up against! Academic yes but he’s not a judge! I need to remain positive but fuck me!

Mine was supposed to be today but they cancelled on me. Im now waiting for it to be rearranged.

I've told them them that this needs to be asap because these delays are causing more harm. Contact needs to start.

I don't know 100 percent what a s7 is for. Do they question both about allegstions made. Is that why the ex always gets to put more allegations in?
I would email them with any evidence while waiting for another date to be made so that it doesn't waste time. They already have the infomation then and can discuss it when they visit. If barristers are suggesting send evidence they must know what they are doin you would think.

Tbf the duty Cafcass officer who called to update me was completely understandably when I explained my concerns with the delay.

I was ensured that the home visit will be rearranged asap.

A S7 is more in depth to resolve issues/ contact etc and they are supposedly meant to be 'the voice of the child'

This can also be manipulated by the ex in an attempt to raise more false allegations to delay contact even further. But this is where you can produce evidence which shuts down the allegations.

The duty team contacted me and I put pressure on them to get this sorted asap due to the harm that these delays are already causing.

The report is due to be filed soon too but they have said that they will deliver this on time.

Yes exactly.

We know there's been historically a wage gap between men and women but due to legislation and reform this has been wiped out structurally to a large extent. It does still exist but that's for specific reasons which are explainable for the most part.

Whereas the family court bias goes pretty much unchecked.

Him saying your situation isn't the norm. When these statements get made I'd ask what evidence he's basing that on.

I'm still waiting . It's in the near future , I'm anxious as it's such an important visit . I want to make sure I can do as much as possible to get closer to seeing my daughter , I'm so bloody nervous !!

I don't know if it's the same but I have someone from Cafcass coming to be with me and my daughter on Wednesday, to meet us, see the bond and relationship we have, it's an S7, but it's not at the house. She said she would meet us wherever we are in the afternoon, so I'm planning a nice day out somewhere. I think we chat another day on the phone too. I think each S7 is different based on what the court wants them to look at, and the case. I am keeping completely focused on my daughter and simply wanting to work together with my ex partner as co parents, so we can both give our daughter the best life possible. And explain certain things about seeing extended family, who live a few hours away, and the need for equal shared care and a lives with both parents order. 2,2,5,5 or weekly shared, to give my daughter the time she needs to see family. I'm not expecting any more allegations, the court made it clear in the last hearing they weren't looking at those, and the S7 isn't about that.
