Background properties

Good afternoon all,

Trust you are well on this Friday afternoon.

I wanted to ask if background buy to let properties are considered part of assets that we have to share up the equity within, if they were bought prior to the marriage? The income has been used to fund our lifestyle.

I have demonstrated that without using that equity STBX can afford suitable housing from sale of marital home equity alone, so is anything extra actually needed over and above this to be paid out.

We have two young children fyi.
