This is simply horrific to read, and whilst highlights how broken the FC is. It will simply serve to embolden mothers to do as they please.

Definitely some case management issues if it was over 12 years, as the child would have been two when he first went to court. I am surprised there were so many hearings without something more serious being ordered much earlier - like a suspended residence order. I wonder if he had any representation throughout. It does say his ex had legal aid so she would have been represented so it would have been tough on him if he was self repping throughout due to solicitor dirty tricks.

Even so, you read the MH, Drugs alcohol issues… this should have been an easy case of him being the resident parent and mom having contact and needing show she was getting help!

Like I just don’t see how that was never a consideration
