ACRO record deletion

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone had applied to ACRO for their records to be deleted following getting an NFA from the police and a fact-finding hearing dismissed? I was arrested for allegedly assaulting my stbx and controlling and coercive behaviour.

I was able to view my stbx statement she gave to the police as part of disclosure for a recent directions hearing. She actually told the police I didn't assault her! (total joke as she then got a NMO, with no findings or admissions, saying I had assaulted her AFTER she told the police I didn't - shame I didn't know what she had told the police at the time. NMO expired now). She raised the same allegations in family court and the judge dismissed a fact finding hearing having read our statements and looked at the evidence. It is detailed in a recital in the interim order that the Court did not deem a fact finding hearing necessary or appropriate.

I've done a bit of googling and it appears difficult to get your record deleted. I work in a public facing role and I don't want these allegations on my record as I'm worried it may impact on future career opportunities if an enhanced DBS check was required. Interested to see if anyone has had their NFAs deleted.

There is no reason that this would show up on an enhanced DBS, it isn't a conviction. They can only disclose on local intelligence if they can show that it is relevant and they would write to you to consult with you first, if they felt they should disclose. So it is very very very unlikely to have any affect on your DBS or your career.

Your case is like mine and many others on here and really you should just try to forget about it and move on and concentrate on next steps for your case.

In a fairly strong position now with a FF dismissed and no s7 ordered and progression back to overnights. A joint lives with order could be on the cards so need to keep focused.

I had a fact finding against me in family court. Plus police contacted by ex but no arrest etc. my enhanced dbs went through no problem.

forget the noise, concentrate on the conversation. Our ex's are vindictive beasts and the court is well aware of this. Stay focused on your children and let your ex rant and rave and just rise above it. Meanwhile, forget about DBS etc, its not going to be an issue for you at all.
