Feeling abit deflated on my birthday currently having to do indirect contact ordered during fhdra, my ex says my child doesn't want to reply to my letters which is fair enough I wasn't expecting a reply anyway but it's my birthday today and dispite what's gone on / going on I really thought she might of encouraged a little happy birthday message or something obviously not it just made me feel abit down sorry for the depressing message just needed abit of a vent

Really sorry about your situation - these things always hit us harder on special days. Maybe this time next year she'll be with you - fingers crossed. Don't expect an ex to be helpful on your birthday!Thanks Ash

Sorry it wasn’t the day you hoped it would be, really heartless from the ex and probably tells you everything you need to know about the decision you made to separate.
Personally I feel guilty at times that I’m hurting my ex (still under one roof) and I catch her looking sad or trying to make an attempt to talk to me like as if things were normal and I can’t bring myself to be normal…I walk away feeling bad, but literally within a day she will do something that reminds me why I made my decision, it was the right one & to stick to it - in the long term it’s best
